Cooper Push-Ups: Source and Display Method
- Men: 2,397 employee wellness-program members across ages 20-60+.
- Women: more than 1,000 female US Army soldiers tested in the 1990s, with published full-body norms through age 49.
- Protocol: both displayed tables use full-body push-ups. Modified knee push-ups are not interchangeable.
- Coverage: the source gives no reason for omitting older female rows.
The current numeric table was manually corrected before this review and is preserved exactly. Automated OCR and reviewer readings of scanned images are used to flag differences, not to overwrite a published value. Permanent checks lock the reviewed data and verify its age-page and trend copies.
The protocol summary is checked against the Pennsylvania MPOETC one-minute full-body push-up directions, which identify the depth target, full extension, permitted rest position, and continuous hand/toe contact.
